-starts with the main character and her mother conversing about college
-shows the main character being talked about about other characters
-uses upbeat music as the backing track
-lasts for  2 minutes
-introduces key plot points

Hot Summer Nights:
-uses upbeat music
-bright colour palette
-shows the main character and him leaving his house to stay somewhere else over the summer
-shows the a pivotal or turning point in a few shots
-uses conflict as a way of intriguing the viewer

The Vanishing of Sidney Hall:
-starts with a slow build-up
-uses a sequence of different shot to tell the audience the basic plot point
-shows the key characteristics of the main character in a few scenes
-shows the main conflict and dilemma for the main character which would intrigue the viewer

The Miseducation of Cameron Post:
-shows different characters which contrasts with the main characters personality
-changes the musical background as the trailer continues which builds tension and shows the plot progression
-the music also changes as secrets about the main characters start to be revealed and showed to the audience.

The Equaliser: 
-starts with the location
-shows both characters conversing with another
-hints to a dark side of the main character as the main character gives a dialogue which the trailer plays over scenes
-uses music as a way of building and increasing tension
-shows scenes after the title of the movie is shown
