Lawrence of Arabia:

Long shot is used to see the man who on the camel who is arriving. This makes the viewer anticipate whoever is arriving and wonder what might occur if both characters encounter the mysterious man riding camel. Also, by using long shot the setting is established making it easier for viewer to see if there are is danger coming towards the two characters. The audience are encouraged to identify with the two characters as they are the first introduced meaning that the have the highest importance in the narrative.

Three Colours Blue:

The use of close up establishes the face of the character which allows the viewer to know that this could be the protagonist of the movie. The camera also used a close-up to an oil leak in a car which could foreshadow how the car might explode. The camera also zooms into a male character running after he sees the car crash. The close up shows the character was running in desperation meaning that the people in the car could be someone that he knows. The close ups zoom into the character face when he sees the car crash to show the shock and astonishment that is expressed in the characters face which was done to make the audience mirror the emotions.

Studio 60 in the Sunset Strip:

By using camera movements that jump from character to character it creates a sense of excitement as the viewer is able to see different characters interact and communicate which adds on to the excitement. Long shots and medium shots help slow down the excitement and make the characters in the long and medium shots seem more serious than the characters that are in the constant camera movements. This also makes the characters in the long and medium shots seem more important which is why it is used on the President of the United States of America.

13 Reasons Why:

Tracking/dolly shots are used to follow the character that guides the other characters around different places in the school such as outside the library and the hall. Also, by following the character by using a dolly shoot, it takes to the locker of the girl who committed suicide which then allows him to express is thoughts. Close camera angles are used when the character Clay is talking to show his anger and fury towards the school and the fellow students who attend the school just like him. It also uses medium shots to show other characters who are looking at Clay becoming angry to show their confusion or guilt.
