Parallel and Contrapuntal Video

Image
Parallel and Contrapuntal Video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LkRkhLaEL74&feature=youtu.be This video shows how Parallel and Contrapuntal sounds can change how a video can be viewed and observed. With the action scene music, the scene is parallel to the music at it matches the scene that is happening and doesn't make the video seem as though it is out of place. However, with the contrapuntal sound which is the happy and upbeat music, it causes the scene look out of place and stops the reader from becoming engaged with the scene as they are more focused with the music. Also, it makes the action look less gritty and makes it seem more childish and stupid.

Sound Analysis

Image
Sound In Clockwork Orange the background music is classical. Classical music is associated with peacefulness and tranquillity however in this scene, the gang of delinquents are beating up a person. The classical music contradicts how the scene goes as the scene is violent and classical music is related to things such as tranquillity causing the two themes to juxtapose and conflict. The music used is  non-diegetic. The director intentionally decided to include to make the violent character seem unpredictable and unsuspecting which the viewer can see as the character unexpectedly attacks his gang members. In Funny Games   , the music used is classical and played by the family in the car. The classical music fits the scene as it portrays a family together whilst driving through a woodland area which comes across as serene and peaceful. The music in this scene is diegetic as it comes from the film itself and comes out through radio within the car and also is paralle

Media Award Task

Media Award Task Out Of Mind: In this film, the lighting used is high-key lighting which makes the the scene well-lit allowing the characters in the scene to be distinguishable. In this scene, there are two characters in which they both have a conversation that also escalates into an argument. One of the camera shots used, allows both the characters to be seen and also makes them talk head to head. The male character is angry and shocked which is seen by their facial expressions. Moreover, the female character is nervous and apprehensive  telling the other character something. Guessing by the characters, it is possible for the movie to fall under the genre as drama.  In drama, there are conventions such as trouble characters, realistic situations that evoke emotional responses, a protagonist facing some kind of struggle and locations that often foreshadow or reflect the emotion in the scene which are  conveyed in this highlight reel of the film. This movie can appeal to yo

Lighting- Still image anaylsis

Image
Lighting: Still Image analysis  The first picture uses top-lighting which highlights the women's facial features such cheekbones and jawline. Also, this makes the women in the picture seem more glamorous but also more vulnerable. The t op-lighting also prevents the background from being clearly seen making it seem as like an assortment of shadows. There is also some lighting which highlights the door between the women. This picture uses low-key lighting. This picture also uses top-lighting and also uses high-key lighting. The picture makes the man's eyes hard to see which makes him seem more imposing and dominant. However, the picture is lighted very well and has hardly any shadows.                                                                 This picture uses top-lighting which highlights the man's shoulder and face. Also, the picture uses back-lighting and also uses lighting to highlight the gun the man is holding within the pict

Mise en scene analysis

Image
Mise en scene analysis In this still image you see a man in a bus. The costume the man is wearing a black jacket, the colour black represented mystery, evil and death which can foreshadow what happens later to the man clarifying the shocked look on his face. In the image, the lighting is bright however as you move further away from the man it becomes blurry and harder to see. The blurring could link to how the character feels confused and astonished. The actor  in the image has a frightened and terrified expression on his face showing that he is terrified and is a state of panic and fear and also he is in a hunched position so that he can be avoid being seen which shows that he is uneasy, timid and reserved.  It looks like the character has dark rings underneath his eyes which could be the result of make-up which shows how the character is restless and is in a state of discomfort and uneasiness. The prop the character is holding is a pink jacket which he uses to hide and c
Star Persona video feedback and learner response By using a mood board, it would make the work easier as you have alreay planned on how the video would essentially become.  I could improve my work by improving my editing skills. This would allow me to change and include more things in the video. Furthermore, this also allows your video to look aesthetically better and more high quality. Furthermore, it would be much better if I included music in the background as it would allow the video to flow better. In the mise en scene, the make-up aspect was the best used as it allowed it to transform into Charlie Chaplin. Mise en scene is important to a character as it makes them memorable and makes the character feel more real and genuine. This also makes the story also feel more authentic. I will improve my work by planning more and also timing it so that I can get the right and specific time needed for the video and also research so that I can get better ideas which improves my c

The video was edited using Adobe Premier Pro and used it to include thing such as a title which gave the overview of what happened in the video and the events that happened such as the transformation. The transformation was done by using make up which allows you to change or alter facial features which makes it easier to transform into a film actor such as Charlie Chaplin.
